- Complete detailed designs from rough sketches or specification outlines on either mechanical, structural or civil engineering fields with minimal direction of engineers or a supervising design drafter
- Prepare detailed design drawings of plant, equipment, buildings, access roads or other structures as directed
- Participate in, or drive the preparation of design and detail drawings from plans, sketches or other design/specification data
- Participate in the review of product designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements as appropriate
- Investigate new drafting techniques and drafting equipment/software and recommend changes to standard practices.
Experience Needed
- Solid experience in the production of CAD drawings within a 3D environment using full or Microstation and/or Autocad
- Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards and ability to advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements as appropriate
- Ability to produce timely and accurate CAD Drawings whilst working with the Design team
- Demonstrated ability to work to project timelines and within a team environment
