    Account Manager – Metro Media - Print

    This role will see you working with media agencies to drive revenue into the both the Fairfax Metro Newspapers and Magazines on a daily basis.  You will be the face of all National Print products within your agency group.

    Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, you will be required to implement strategies to maximize revenue from all major categories, in addition to driving new business opportunities. This role also requires a high level of proactive new business development at agency and client level.  In addition to driving new business opportunities you will be required to build, nurture and develop internal and external relationships. You will be working side by side with your digital colleagues so a passion for the broader media landscape & the ability to work collaboratively is desirable.

    We are looking for a creative and strategic individual who can drive success into this patch and grow the current client base.  A demonstrated ability to deliver under daily deadlines in addition to managing long term strategies and budgets is essential. Experience in the use of industry research tools, along with proven communication, influencing and negotiation skills is considered a pre-requisite for this role.

    In addition to your excellent communication skills and your ability to influence to succeed in this fast-paced industry, you will need to be a sales professional who can think laterally, operate independently and have a proven track record for closing the deal and thinking creatively.  Building relationships with internal key stakeholders including editorial and marketing is critical to the role.

    Experience as an Account Manager in media sales is required.  Tertiary qualifications from reputable institution will be highly regarded.
