Our client is a leading integrated oil and gas company. They are environmentally and financially approved for development of a world first LNG plant in Gladstone which will turn coal seam gas (CSG) into liquefied natural gas (LNG). As a result of this significant project this contract role currently exists.

In this contract you will provide advice and support, ensuring compliance with the organisation's Environmental Policy for this project and their Environment, Health and Safety Management System, to the Project Team particularly on environmental issues and management practices primarily associated with dredging and marine infrastructure.

SUCCESS PROFILE
  • At least five years relevant post graduate experience, preferably in provision of consulting environmental services with a strong background and focus across dredging, marine and ports infrastructure;
  • Relevant and current knowledge of environmental legislation, regulatory and management systems;
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring techniques;
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of environmental management plans, environmental improvement programs, environmental monitoring programs, abandonment and decommissioning plans or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience with engagement and/or management of contractors and consultants;
  • Relevant Qualifications eg. Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering.
